shelf shopping day ˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀

hellooo babiessss <3 i'm so excited to tell you guys that i finally am going shelf shopping YAYYY. i'm in the car literally right now so excited to pick a nice one out hehehe. the thing is i'm studying for civil services and i am a political science major so i have a lot of books. so because of that, i have so much stuff to organise. also like side note, i have a terrible migraine and i feel like my sinuses are blocked too and i feel like throwing up in the car :') maybe it's because i had just one coffee today before getting out of the house which is totally my fault but yes please pray for me. anyways, back to my shelf nowww; too much stuff+too little space. i can manage and keep my books in storage especially the ones i won't be using so this shelf is exclusively for my trinkets.

i made a collage to visualise what my shelf should be like and i thought it would be cool to show you guys how i plan my stuff <3

i ate biryani and we got back from the furniture market. it was so tiring i literally am dead lol. not only that we went all the way from one part of delhi to fricking banjaara market in gurgaon. insane. anyways the shelf is finalised thank god. my bed has also been finalised hehe. wild card entry for the bed but it was beautiful+ there are customisations left so i dont know when that would be done. i will still go to ikea for the last time tomorrow just to take a look but whateverrr. there was this adorable leopard print carpet in banjaara market which i wasnt able to take </3 because my mom said no but hopefully one day i go back for it. gonna sleep now ･*:.｡.(๑>◡<๑).｡.:*･

HELLOOOO BABIESSSSSSS OMG DO YOU LOVE THE NEW LOOK UGH WOW guys i literally have been fighting for my life omfg stop. do you know how desperate i was to get the translucent overlay thing in my blog. i feel so saddened by the fact that i asked so many people to help but not one girlie ungatekept it T-T so here's what i learned all by myself eventually-

the reason i was not able to add the overlay or the reason my tabs looked completely off was because i chose the wrong theme. i had picked the first pink default wala i saw in the menu (the bubblegum one) and moved onto other things. matlab chalo, id say part of it was a bit better definitely but all the good blogs (ive linked them in the sidebars) had the translucent base. what i did differently to change the look permanently was ditch backgrounds and fonts and work directly with the default themes. now the effect of the screen having an overlay is all due to the picture window option (open) which of course NO ONE TOLD ME.

ANYWAYS. right after that i got started on my blog posts. i fixed the font and the colour palette and started working on new tabs. now, tabs can be of two types. one for the pages and one type that includes posts according to all keyword tab topics (labels). what i opted for was the tabs for pages which can be achieved very simply by adding pages to the layout>cross column.

you can add new pages under the blogger editor dashboard by clicking the new page after clicking pages.  

next, i added labels to all existing posts which be done by clicking this icon when viewing your posts through the dashboard. you just need to hover on your post in the list. the posts can have labels that distinguish the post categories.

really really convenient too! there are some tutorials on indigenous diva's socials that you can use for the tabs which was eventually how i figured out how to do mine hehe

obviously i added pretty gifs to everything it was SUCH A TASKKKKK it was such a task my god i had to resize everything again and again, i re-added the playlist widget as well that was one of the easiest widgets ever. also like just a heads up i started writing this post very long ago (not even that much) but ykwim i got distracted and fixed up more things lmfao. so obviously there's more cutie patootie insane amount of coding updates and two more small layout updates. i added a notification banner on top so i can put short updates of course. i also managed to make the read more button. earlier, my issue was the the fact that on my home page, the posts were showing up as long form texts which they are but i didn't want the home page to reveal the entire post T-T which is why i coded in a read more button. this im not sure how to add a code for because this was a lot of trial and error and i watched tutorials on twitter and facebook omg. 

along with these i added one qna form widget and also a poll for everyone's dream thrift find <3 but guys theres two more cool updates one which i did before plus the reason i actually sat down to write this post AHAHAHAH okay let me just say it. i added a tiny bratz doll that tells fun facts about me heheheheheh. i did this through a tutorial sugar kissed letters did. speaking of sugar kissed letters. i managed to code a widget like the lisa's world thing on my own ive been hyperfixating on fonts so the layout was pretty straightforward i made it a bit more complex by adding more personal elements like the shopping self care, the variety of foods and an eating animation (all of my absolute favs), the little vanity, a beagle during playtime too! all these things are strictly not ai i used a dress up app to build my mini me and all other things are colorgraded plus taken off pinterest hehehehe. im not sure if my happiness meter will work the same as hers but i dont mind i just love the idea of tamagotchi like items always <3

would you like me to bring in a dress up button in the minigame? it would be so cute and fun now that ive figured out the interface <3 let me know babies!! im not one to gatekeep so ask away as always!!! i'm super sleepy it took me an entire evening to do this heh

hiiii babiessss :3  how is everyonee the weather is so much better in delhi now it was so yucky going out at even 7pm now its finally somewhat pleasant and not humid and hot hehe i love the ber months so much no one can ever make me hate them theyre the best. ppl irl love when i do a show and tell haul so i figured i could write a post about all my recent purchases <3 i actually didn't go out very much recently so almost all of them are online purchases and also most are thrifted so i don't have a link for them T-T 

starting off strong with my only offline purchase right now are these insane cache jeans that i found in sarojini in my exact size!

that day i was absolutely not supposed to spend any money and i was sure i wouldn't until my friend tia said we should take a look at our usual thrift store bhaiya's collection that day. so we went there didn't see anything we particularly liked until tia spotted a pile of beaded denim in one corner. bhaiya told us that those pieces were already booked but we were welcome to look at the other ones that were available.

AND LO AND BEHOLD THE FIRST ONE WAS THIS PAIR. some background and context for those who don't know, cache is the same brand that made the viral gabrielle solis sweater with the off shoulder and zipup detail! the brand also makes crazy silk dresses that go for a lot so knowing the brands and their tags gives you an insight into the true value of the item hehe. that being said, there's no point buying an item because of the brand.  if you love it, you take it. for me this was the perfect happy coincidence.

it was absolutely the most unexpected brand to see in sarojini

( ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝) thank you tia and sarojini wale bhaiya UGHH. its really difficult for me to buy jeans as a pear shaped girly; theyre always tight on the ass and hips but very loose on the waist. its a difficult and depressing task that makes me even less motivated to find a pair that fits me so finding one that's exactly the kind i would wear is thrift goddesses blessing me <3 the pocket detail on this is perfect and it reminds me of yasmin from bratz hehe. in fact im pretty sure she wore something like this once.

next up, is a haul of heels from poshmark which a us friend will bring back in november/december. she told me to look at poshmark and depop incase i wanted something from there so i did and i got these three heels!! i won't go too indepth because ill post these when they come but hehe also the bebe heels are off pinterest mine have some scuff marks so ill clean and post those CREDIT TO WHOEVER'S PICTURES THEY AREEEEE

they're all so cunty i love them!!!! pro tip: search for bcbg heels on any platform they're always great quality and have a variety of styles to choose from!! the bebe heels were a non-negotiable for me they were slightly expensive but then again definitely worth it BECAUSE LOOK AT THE HORSE BIT DETAIL IM IN LOVE???? 

i also wanna talk about the bag i received on thursday real quick hehe. 

i love it so much i cannot wait to wear it out but on a serious note there's an online thrift store owner that has been using my picture to sell and it would be alright if they were the one i bought it from but they're not. it's really sad because they're advertising it as their picture not mine not a pinterest inspo. i had posted picture just hours before and they snagged it to post on their page without credit. @thrift_by_khwahishh is not the page i've bought from and it isn't right for them to post my pictures without consent for monetary purposes. shoutout again to the lovely pavitra and her store @girliloveyourfits; bbg is younger than me and running a successful business. i'm sure she's gonna see this at some point so babe you're doing super well and you deserve even more. i hope once im posting more on ig you get even more orders!! the preorder process was so smooth i didn't even feel like it was a preorder.

next, i bought this very cute baby phat tee from @altstarfish on ig 10/10 no notes they have a lot of sizes and a lot of colors; i will be purchasing the black one or the pink one soon (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ )

i love the material and the stretch is very nice for a snug fit. the neck is not too deep either. 

lastly, there's the soap dispenser i got hehehehehehe ITS PINK AND ITS A PEARL IN A SHELL AND IT WAS A GREAT DEAL ON AMAZON HAHAHAHAHA i love it sm im a mermaid now in the bathroom hehehehe i love it.

hiiiiii babiesssss ʚ:˚˖𓍢ִ   how is everyonee lol im back again just a few hours later XD i was planning to just do dummy posts but i couldn't sleep and i had the weird void feeling of wanting to just stare at a wall. so now im staring at a screen instead writing to everyone <3 i figured i havent exactly introduced myself properly so hellooo my name's nivedita, my friends call me nivi, my parents call me aanya so i basically have three names. introducing myself feels so random i haven't done that since first sem of college. speaking of, i did a double major of political science and english literature which is just as busy as it sounds. although, honestly i just didn't have that many classes at my uni like in general but its one of the best in the country so who am i to say anything ╮(ᵕ—ᴗ—)╭ 

i am a scorpio sun aries rising and leo moon! i don't exactly know what each means for me but i know this because of my mum. my birthday's 25th october and i'll be turning 21 this year. i started this blog because of my two friends aayati and aaryaki; they gave me my final push to actually start the website atleast. girls if you're reading this, haiiii :3 this blog will be documenting the start of my 20's, some mental breakdowns maybe, some random crafts, thrift finds, food i love, place i go to etc.

i have three tattoos- a lotus, a lower back tramp stamp and, one that says fitoor on my arm. im already planning to get more as im writing this. 

i love reading; i used to be able to read much than i can now but im slowly getting my spark back <3 my last read was butter by asako yuzuki. i used to journal as a child about food, i loved food history and i still do.

i ADORE literature and media that is food centric and i don't just mean cooking shows and cook books, i mean actual stories about cuisines and some other themes that tie everything together. i am always on the hunt for these and would love your recommendations in the comments (..◜ᴗ◝..)  if it wasn't so unrealistic, i would love to write about food and run a restaurant. i mean, to be fair my parents did say if plan a mainstream career doesn't work, i will always have this to fall back on if i really really want to. we shall see what happens. 

i used to have two cats before bruno they were two of the most handsome tuxedo cats- maomao and morgan. they are no longer with me now but they will always be my first babies. last summer, i fostered a cat that looked like them, he was adopted soon after and i called him beans because he slept curled up like a bean hehe. i love bratz dolls, i love bratz in general. i used to watch it but i got my first ever doll in 2024 only. i got another one of the reimagined og dolls this year too :p my absolute fav doll is yasmin <3333 SHES SO BEAUTIFULLLL. i love her. if i was a bratz doll id be a cross between yasmin and dana. i hope i get to purchase more amen. 

i made an ig as well to post the videos and pictures i click of my crafts and stuff- @sw7gmuseum it hasn't gone public yet because i wanted to perfect my blog before revealing it. oh yes this goes without saying if you read my previous posts you know that i am indian, im also odia and to add to that mix im also a south del girlie lmfao. i LOVEEEEE BINDIS especially long ones omg. ive been told i look like lara raj when i wear one but i just wanted to say i've been wearing these before her so when a rando says im copying her T-T omg girl we can both wear one omg literally.

oh yes also love a yummy lipcombo if you see me without one just know im probably crashing out on the inside. i love heels i love bags but im honestly a bag fairy and not a shoe fairy like taylor from barbie fairy secret but again i could be both who even knows ( ๑ ˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و ♡  i love vintage guess bags most of all. i have so many iconic ones in my closet. i'll be sure to make a separate posts about those too!  

i love tiny things and im a sucker for nostalgic tiny things hence the obsession with- tamagotchis, shopkins, polly pockets and pixel chix. ive missed out on some very iconic toys and therefore now im spending as much time as i can to find these for a good price. an honorable mention would be gachapons- love them too. ive noticed i gravitate towards tiny toys that would cover everything a real person would need. for example i love miniature dollhouses and i love tamagotchis. i always aim for tamagotchis that have a variety of gameplays within one tiny console. there definitely has to be some correlation between these and my subconscious thoughts. most of all i love my two lomls and PINK.

recent developments ‧❀༉‧₊˚.

hiii babiesssss omg the past few days all i've been doing is working on this tv widget i am so tired but its so fun and fulfilling ۫ <3 let me give yall a recap of what all happened recentlyy ;p i posted last on wednesday and its saturday today so basically i need to catch yall up on thursday and friday developments on the blog 

so you can see i added a little fortune ball that gives little predictions hehe nothing too specific but i really love the idea of a pink crystal ball telling me my future (which is hopefully bright with lots of success) its kind of weird writing these posts because i know this blog wont go live until ive figured the damn tabs thing out i dont even know how the girlies are achieving those translucent overlays on their background behind their posts it is so cute and perfect and neat i love it <333 i was heavily inspired by this blog i stumbled upon but i literally cannot find her anymore because my chrome history was deleted??? is this happening with anyone else omg

so yes the thing is i dont know when this blog will go public and who all will be viewing it T-T maybe it's my habit as a perfectionist to not do anything unless im perfect at it lol. THE OTHER REALLY COOL THING I ADDED IS THE PEAR SLAP PHONE \(𖦹ˊ ᗜ ˋ𖦹)/  literally the code for this was so straight forward but i'm a total beginner at coding so it was a headache for me; it is day zero for me i just keep trying stuff till it works !!!! which is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time i feel because i tire myself out and get really bummed when stuff does not work </3 do let me know if you would like me to post the code for it i'll copy it and add to the tab thing.

i also added a few more widgets, definitely more generic though. i added my spotify playlist, i added a drawing pad, i added a very basic cbox widget too ^_^ everything is of course as always; pink 💗on the more INTERESTING NOTEEE i also added a tamagotchi to my page!!!! i have always loved tamagotchi and for my 19th birthday my parents actually bought me one hehe.  i'll talk about it in my later posts but yes my tamagotchi or should i say tamanotchi was actually a very easy widget super straight foward you can head to the website i got it from by clicking on mine <3 my irl tamagotchi is also pink (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) 

my most ambitious widget which i coded myself along with a little help from random codes from diff blogs is the SWAG MEDIA CENTREEEEEEEEE. it took me a whole day to do it takes a lot of hit and trial so i unfortunately would leave the code for this upto you guys sorry for gatekeeping :") its all a fun process so don't worry you won't be bored doing thissss !!! my inspiration for this widget was @luvbugdiaries.blogspot.com 💞 her blog is beautiful and amazing i love ittttttttt maybe one day i'll drop the code for it in a treasure hunt way or a riddle way who knows lol

also i apologise for the weird sentence structures, im trying to keep the blog as casual as possible because i want it to feel like its a voice note's transcript. for the people that know me in real life i  know youre all sick of me yapping and yapping and yapping :p if i get a chance and i'm comfortable with the person the conversation would never end. trust.

anywaysss yeahh that's all that happened! yesterday my friend tia came over to give me my bags. i gave it to her for dry cleaning >-< and she showed me the bag i found for her hehehehe i'll put a picture here later while editing the post.

we ate lunch, it rained hard and in the evening she went home and i got started on the media centre ofc. bruno's also not doing the best we went to the vet and they said he has a condition called kcs-keratoconjunctivitis sicca and it will require a lot of care and the medication will be lifelong. he's definitely responding well to the medication so im just glad xx.
